African Serval 
Habitat:   Wetlands and well watered grasslands
Size:   40 inches
Weight:   Adults weigh about 30 pounds
Food:   Birds, reptiles (like lizards), and mammals (including rodents, hares and small antelopes).

Description:   
Servals are considered to be mostly nocturnal, hunting by relying upon their senses of sight and sound more than scent. In areas where the habitat and routine of the serval cat has not been altered or disturbed by human activities, they can also be found hunting and being active at dawn and again at dusk. Servals enjoy hunting their food, and like domestic cats will sometimes play with their prey before eating it.
The serval has very long strong legs which enables it to leap up to 10 feet into the air. If you'll notice, servals have very large ears for hearing both predator and prey and long distances.
Servals are hunted often for their spotted coats and this combined with habitat destruction has caused their numbers to decline.
